Lori was born August 29, 1963 in Quincy, Ill., a daughter of Glenn Lee and Betty Lou Smith East.

On April 21, 1990 in La Grange, Mo., she was united in marriage to her childhood sweetheart, Tim Rossiter. He survives.

Lori was a very quiet person that kept to herself. She was a very honest person that loved her Lord. She had a lot of friends that will miss her including very close friend, Pam Wolfmeyer.

Lori worked for 27 years at Blessing Hospital and Blessing Physician Services in several departments. When Lori retired because of her illness she was a Coder. Lori was a member of Dover Baptist Church.

Before her sickness she and her husband raised small animals on their small farm. She enjoyed this very much and had them all spoiled. On Sunday afternoons you could count on her cleaning one of the huts, cages or be in the shed with babies or eggs. She and Tim traveled to several states attending small animal auctions. She liked working in her garden and spent many summer days planting or pulling plants. In the evenings she could be found sitting on the front porch.

She was a very good cook and all the family gatherings were held in their home. No matter how much Mac and Cheese or Mashed Potatoes she made, there was never enough for second helpings. In the winter month’s they would get together with family and play cards. She would make Chili and Taco Soup or Ham Salad Sandwiches, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. According to the grandkids, she could never make enough Oreo dessert or pumpkin pie.

Survivors include her husband Tim of rural Ewing and to this union four daughter were raised, Lori’s daughter, Jessica (Jeff) Mayes of Ewing, Mo; Tim’s daughters, Amber (Kyle) Ray of Kahoka, Mo, Kim (Jered) Brisby of Hedrick, Iowa and Ashley (Kevin) Finch of Keokuk, Iowa.
