Vivian Nellie Humphrey, 89, of Ewing, Mo., died March 3, 2017 at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra. Mrs. Humphrey was born July 11, 1927, in Quincy to Levi C. and Jessie J. Hogue Boyle. She married Richard Stumb on December 15, 1944 in Norman, Okla.. He preceded her in death . She married John S. Abell April 1, 1947 in Salem, Ark., and he preceded her in death October 15, 1967. She married Raymond L. Humphrey July 19, 1977 in Camdenton, Mo. and he preceded her in death March 29, 1992. Vivian was a mother, housewife, and farmwife.She attended Quincy Schools and pursued a degree in nursing just before getting married. She had worked at Motorola in Quincy and then was Activity Director at Lincoln Terrace in Quincy. She loved crafts and was an avid gardener. She loved filling her yard with flowers, bushes and trees of all kinds. She also loved traveling to visit as many states as she could and collecting rocks for the homestead. She loved feeding her hummingbirds. Vivian is survived by children; Rodney (Yvonne) Stumb, Maywood, Hope Collins, Ewing, Cherry Masterson, Hannibal, Penny (Bob) Leckbee, Durham, Bill (Betty) Abell, Durham, Danny (Kathy) Abell, Durham; grandchildren; Christina Plunk, Harla (Curt) Bean, Roger Stumb, Debbie (Bobby) Stumb, Carmen Stumb, Dawn (Scott) Wieprecht, Ronnie (Beth) Collins, Amanda (Jason) Stone, Adam Collins, Tami (Cindy) Eichor, Sam Eichor, Angie (Henry) Bowen, Candice (Terrence) Orange, Monica (Justin) Brumbaugh,Teresa Breault, Bryan Leckbee, Billy (Tina) Abell, Brent (Chrissy) Abell, Kia (John) Hamann, and Kourtney (Eric) Spradlin, 36 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; daughter, Faith Goings; Son in laws, Ronnie Collins and Dan Masterson; Granddaughter, Tania Leckbee and brothers, George Jennier, James S. Boyle, and Arthur, J. Boyle. Funeral Services were held March 6, 2017 at Hester Community Church.Pastor Lance Bonnell officiated. Visitation was held March 5 at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel, Palmyra, Mo. Pallbearers: Billy Abell, Brent Abell, Adam Collins, Sam Eichor, Bryan Leckbee, and Mikeal Bean. Honorary pallbearers: Rodney Stumb, Bill Abell, Danny Abell, Ronnie Collins, Jr., and Roger Stumb. Interment was in Durham Cemetery in Durham, Mo.
