NORMA F. GRAGG

Norma F. Gragg, 86, of Independence, Mo, formerly of LaGrange, was called home by her Lord, February 16, 2017, at Pleasant HillHealth and Rehabilitation in Pleasant Hill, Mo. Born January 8, 1931, near LaGrange, Mo, she was the daughter of J. Harold and Leona M. (Drescher) Cox of LaGrange. She graduated from LaGrange High School in 1950 and on March 7, 1952, married her high school sweetheart Victor D. Gragg. Victor and Norma were married over 62 years. She graduated from Gem City Business College in Quincy, IL, and relocated briefly to Augusta, GA, duringVictor’s service in the Army. She was a loving mother and dedicated homemaker. While in LaGrange, she was a member of PEO. Norma was a member of First Baptist Church, LaGrange, and later, Susquehanna Baptist Church, Independence, and enjoyed teaching Sunday School to preschool age children for over 40 years. She was also a faithful teacher and board member at Susquehanna Preschool for many years. Her passion anddevotion was to Victor, her family and friends, and teaching young children about the love of Jesus Christ. Survivors include a son, Stanton (Robyn) Gragg of Lone Jack, MO, two grand-daughters, Jessi (Dustin) Rodriguez of Nashville, TN, Hannah (Dustin) Burns of Kansas City, MO; a daughter-in-law, Marcie (Steven) Gragg, four grandsons Austin (Ali) Gragg, Joshua, Zachary and Jacob all of Independence; a sister, Marilyn (George) Hoffman of Canton, MO, a sister-in-law, Judy (Jim) Gragg of Quincy, and several beloved nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and eldest son. Services were held February 21, 2017 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, Independence Graveside service was at New Salem Cemetery, Independence, Mo.
