MARY PIERCE HORNE

Mary Eleanor Pierce Horne, 96, passed away died January 27, 2017 at Heisinger Nursing Home in Jefferson City, Mo. She was born May 1, 1920 in Princeton, Indiana to John and Anna Pierce. In 1957, she married Ralph Horne, Sr. in Oak Park, Ill. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings. She is survived by her son Ralph Horne, Jr. and daughter-in-law Sarah Mounter of Columbia, Mo. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She served as secretary to the Dean and President of Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo., where her brother J. Leslie Pierce was a professor of music. A Memorial Service will be held 1p.m. February 3, 2017 at Parker-Millard Funeral Home in Columbia, Mo. Memorials may be made to Culver-Stockton College - J.
