CARRIE HECK

Carrie Ellen Heck, 84, of Quincy, Illinois died January 28, 2017 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy. The daughter of Joseph W. and Ruby F. (Edwards) Stice was born on January 20, 1933 in rural Lewistown, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Raymond R. Heck, Sr. on May 12, 1951 in Quincy, Illinois. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1999. Carrie liked to read, tend to the garden and spend time with her grandkids. She is survived by three daughters, Ruby Konkler of Quincy, Il., Julia (Tim) Lechtenberg of Rochester, Michigan and Cindy Heck of Quincy, Il.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Theodore (Irene) Stice of Mt. Vernon, Il. and William (Yvonne) Stice of Hannibal, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, husband, and a son, Raymond R. Heck, Jr. Funeral services were held January 31, 2017 at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Lewistown, Missouri with Rev. Ted Middleton officiating. Pallbearers: Ruby Konkler, Julia Lechtenberg, Cindy Heck, Tim Lechtenberg, Chad Dixon and Russ Gibbs. Visitation was held Jan. 30. Burial was in the Lewistown Cemetery.
