ROBERT LAWRENCE MOORE

Robert Lawrence Moore, age 74, of Maywood, Mo., and owner of Moores Hilltop Taxidermy, died December 8, 2016 in the Iowa City VA Hospital. Mr. Moore was born April 6, 1942 in Illinois a son of Rollie and Marjorie Moore. He married Madonna Dell Poulter on December 23, 1962 in Mendon, Ill. She preceded him in death on September 3, 1988. He was a member of the Durham Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Sherri and her husband Jim Zuspann and Susan and her husband Ryan Rossmiller and one son Jeffrey and his wife Susan; eight grandchildren, Michael and Josh Zuspann, Alexis Cary, Bethany and Nathan Moore and Kirstie, Kristian and Kori Rossmiller; two great grandchildren, Charlie Ray Roberts and Macie Bechtold; his brothers and sisters, Ronnie VanBlair, Rollie Moore, Marvin Moore, Maria Smith, Donna Twaddle and Carolyn Click. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his wife, Madonna, father Rollie, sister Maxine and brother Neal. Funeral services were held December 11, 2016 at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing with Rev. Josh Thrower officiating. Pallbearers: Jeff Moore, Nathan Moore, Jim Zuspann, Kristian Rossmiller, Bobby Mosby and Shea Bechtold. Music was recorded selections. Burial with military honors was in Durham Cemetery, Durham, Mo. The family suggests memorials be made to the VA Hospital in Iowa City. Online condolences may be left at www.davis-fh.com
