LOLA MAE MAPLES-BRUMBAUGH

Lola Mae Maples-Brumbaugh, 85, of Quincy, died August 3, 2016 in Blessing Hospital. Born October 30, 1930 in Lewistown, Mo., Lola was the daughter of Harry and Vera Daggs Gaus. Lola was blessed to have been married to Glen Maples, Bob Rohs and Jim Griffin who all preceded her in death. On April 19, 2007 she married Norman Brumbaugh in Quincy.He survives. Lola was currently a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved music and sang in the choir in her home churches. She was an avid Bridge player and was a master quilter and seamstress. Lola was employed as a sales clerk for many years, retiring from J. C. Penny in Quincy. Survivors include her husband, Norman; a son, Glen Edward "Eddie" Maples (Patty) of Quincy; a daughter, Jana East (Gary) of Lutz, FL; a step son, Kip Brumbaugh (Mary) of Quincy; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Smith (Leonard), Jason Howard (Jennie), Kristin Howard, Glen Maples (Paula), Rajah Maples (Ernie Wallace), Andy Wemhoener and Ashley Perrine (Seth); four step grandchildren, Beth Stamper (Jason), Mark Brumbaugh (Anne), Amy Stamper (Mark) and Justin Brumbaugh (Stephanie); eleven great grandchildren, Megan, Taylor, Jacob, Jordan, Joshua, Tori, Kendra, Kristen, Gracie, Aiden and Bentley; twelve step great grandchildren; two brothers, Clifford Gaus (Alene) of Pochahontas, AR and Dwain Gaus (Caroline) of Melissa, TX; two sisters, Jean Lovejoy of St. Joseph, MO and Betty Livingston of Brookfield, MO; and many loving nieces and nephews. Lola was preceded in death by her parents; and three husbands. Funeral services were held Aug. 6. 2016 in Calvary Baptist Church by Pastor Wayne Manago. Burial was in the LaGrange Memorial Cemetery, LaGrange, Missouri. Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church or the LaGrange Youth Center.
