ROGER SCOTT

Roger William Scott, 63, of LaBelle, Missouri, died April 19, 2016 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

Roger was born April 26, 1952 in Edina, Mo., the son of Mike and Geraldine (Myers) Scott. On June 17, 1989 he was united in marriage to Tammy Freeman.
Roger graduated from Knox County High School in 1970 and was also a graduate of University of Missouri, in Columbia, MO. He was an agriculture education teacher at Highland High School in Lewis County for several years and also taught at Knox County High School in Edina until his retirement.

Roger currently held the office of Alderman for the City of LaBelle and was the President of the Lewis County Fire Protection District. He was a supporter of local 4-H and was a volunteer 4-H leader. Roger was also a member of the LaBelle Saddle Club. He was an avid supporter of the Northeast Missouri Food Bank from its beginning and was a regular volunteer. Roger loved people and currently enjoyed his position at Casey’s in LaBelle where he could visit with friends and acquaintances.
Surviving are his wife Tammy of LaBelle, Mo.; one son, Justin Scott, also of LaBelle, Mo., and one daughter, Jaclyn Scott of the home; a brother, Frank (Diana) Scott of LaPlata, Mo., and several nieces and cousins.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Jerry Ray Scott.

Funeral services were held April 23, 2016 at Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, Mo. Visitation was held April 22, 2016.

Burial was at LaBelle Cemetery in LaBelle, MO.
