STEVE GRIESBAUM

Steven Kent Griesbaum, 60 of LaGrange, Mo., died February 7, 2016 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He was born March 15, 1955 in Edina, Mo., a son of Forrest (Frosty) and Norma Jean (Hull) Griesbaum. Steve married Judy Stambaugh December 29, 1989. Judy brought two daughters to their marriage whom Steve has loved and cared for, for many years.

Steve was a member of the LaGrange Christian Church. Steve was employed by Spartan Light Metal Products in Hannibal, Mo., as a Quality Auditor. Steve had also been employed for several years by Lewis County C-1 School District and The LaGrange Foundry.

Survivors include two daughters Brenda (Doug) Mallett and Kimberly (Aren) Schneider both of LaGrange, Mo., three brothers, Danny (Janet) Griesbaum, David (Linda) Griesbaum both of Maywood, Forrest Wayne Griesbaum of Stockton, Calif., one sister Ola Gail Wilson of Maywood, Mo., two grandsons Drew Mallett and Brock Schneider, one Aunt Betty Beeman of Jefferson City, Mo., and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Kim Wilson, niece Paula Smith and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held Thursday February 11, 2016 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home in LaGrange, Mo. Funeral services will be held Friday February 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the LaGrange Christian Church in LaGrange with pastors Marshal Conklin, Kary Myers and Josh Thrower officiating.

Burial will be in Maywood Cemetery, Maywood, Mo.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Maywood Cemetery Association.

Pallbearers: Doug Griesbaum, John Griesbaum, Andrew Griesbaum, Kegan Wilson, Garth Wilson, Ryan Schroder and Lane Shannon. Honorary Pallbearers: Drew Mallett, Brock Schneider and Jason Griesbaum. Music: Philip Wilson vocalist and Kami Griesbaum pianist.
