HODGE MILLER

Hodge (James) Clayton Miller, 35 of Ewing, Missouri died February 2, 2016 at Lewistown, Missouri. 


The son of Karl and Rita (Bartz) Miller was born on March 23, 1980 at Quincy, Illinois. 


Hodge was a free spirit that lived every day to the fullest. His witty personality and contagious smile will be always remembered. He loved his family dearly and always had a shoe box full of goodies to share with all. Everyone looked forward to his drawings and awkward gifts. 


Through life’s ups an downs Hodge always found peace in the times spent with his son Wylie, nieces (Kanna and Xenlei) and nephews (Malik, Davin, Xander and Kayson). 


He is survived by his mother, Rita Miller-Slaughter (Chad Kerker) of Ewing, Mo.; son, Wylie James Miller (Tracy Viers) of Quincy, IlL.; siblings, Tiffany Cook-Dade (Thomas Dean) of Lewistown, Mo., and Joshua (Sharon) Miller of Kahoka, Mo.; nieces, Kanna and Xenlei Miller of Kahoka, Mo.; nephews, Malik and Davin Dade of Lewistown, Mo. and Xander and Kayson Miller of Kahoka, Mo.; several aunts, uncles and cousins, and a special great aunt, Joyce Hall. 


He was preceded in death by his father, Karl Miller, grandparents, Orville and LenaBelle Miller and grandmother, Connie VanFleet. 


Memorial services were held February 6, 2016 at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Lewistown, Mo. with Rev. Paul Kinney officiating.

Inurnment will be in the Knox City Cemetery at a later date.
