Patricia Waterman, age 81, of La Grange, Mo., died January 6, 2016, in Good Samaritan Home in Quincy, Ill.Patty was surrounded by her kids as the good Lord called her home.

She was born August 5, 1934, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Henry Alfred and Veda LaVern Derr Brandt. On May 15, 1953, she was united in marriage to Bobby Richard Waterman.

She graduated from La Grange High School in 1952. Patty was a member of the First Baptist Church of La Grange. She worked outside the home at Motorola, Quincy Ill., and American Safety Corporation located in Palmyra, Mo. She was also a homemaker. Patty and Bob were lifelong residents of La Grange.

Patty enjoyed bowling, crocheting and learning new crafts. She loved and supported watching her children and grandchildren play basketball, baseball, soccer, gymnastics, volleyball and swimming. She also enjoyed shopping for beanie babies and watching St. Louis Cardinal baseball.

Survivors include a son, Steven Richard Waterman and his wife Vickie of La, Grange, Mo., and daughter, Vicki Kay Ryan and her husband Jim of Davenport, Iowa. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Nathan Christopher Waterman of Rosemount, MN, Dr. Jamie Lynn Schutte (Greg) of Kansas City, Mo., Dr. Andrea Nicole Weber (Nick) of Solon, Iowa, Ashli Nicole Ryan (Neil) and Blair Elizabeth Urton (Jeremy) of La Grange, Mo. She also has three great-grandchildren; Devin, Walker and Justice and two nieces; Patty Ellison of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Connie Ware of Quincy, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and grandparents.

Funeral services will be held January 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Davis Funeral Home in La Grange, Mo., with Reverend Steve Disseler officiating. Visitation was held January 8, 2016 at the Davis Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Jim Ryan, Nathan Waterman, Greg Schutte, Nick Weber, Michael Griesbauer and Bob Blessing. Music: Dorothy Gillespie, organist; Pam Stewart, vocalist.

Burial was in Mark's Cemetery in La Grange.
