DOROTHY MAE SMYSER

Dorothy Mae Smyser, 91, went to be with Jesus on June 27, 2021. 

Dorothy was born May 7, 1930 to Reuby and Zoe (Utterback) Sanders. 

Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ewing. Dorothy worked for many years at Quincy Compressor and as a Foster Grandparent at Highland Elementary. Dorothy was kind-hearted, soft-spoken and a hard worker.  She fiercely loved her family, Jesus Christ and vanilla ice cream.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Glenn (Erin) Smyser and Virginia Ranville, her grandchildren, Alexis, Samantha and Reagan Smyser, Chrisi Radcliffe, Michael Smallman and John Burda, and special nieces, Brenda Gunlock and Gayla Curry. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Lanette Burda, her brother, Kenneth Sanders and sister-in-law, Dot Sanders. 

Graveside services will be held in the Durham Cemetery at a later date.
