Bruce C. Dehner, 77, of Ewing, Mo., died December 29, 2015 in the Country Aire Retirement Estates at Lewistown, Mo.

Bruce was born November 10, 1938 in Canton, Mo., a son of Junius and Henrietta Honaker Dehner. He married Joann Bryant on April 1, 1961 in Quincy, Ill. She survives.

He was a member of South Union Baptist Church in Maywood, Mo. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a Federal Mine Inspector working in Idaho retiring in 1980.

Survivors include his wife, Joann Dehner of Ewing; one son, Michael Dehner of Cheyenne, WY; one granddaughter, Annie Dehner of Cheyenne; three brothers, Harold Dehner of Lewistown, Mo., Donald Dehner of Hannibal, Mo., and David Dehner of Panama City, Florida; one Aunt, Wilma Bader of Columbia, Mo., and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held January 2, 2016 at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing with Rev. Dale Norfolk officiating. Visitation was held prior to services.

Pallbearers: Darrell Eisenberg, Kenny Goings, John Carter, Nelson Carter, Mark Rathbun and Edwin Tate

Music: Loretta Bringer, organist; Rachel Shepherd, vocalist.

Burial with military honors was in Ewing Memorial Cemetery in Ewing.

The family suggests memorials be made to South Union Baptist Church or to Country Aire Retiement Estates in care of Ball-Davis Funeral Home.
