JACK WEBER

Jack Elton Weber, 86, died December 21, 2015 at Elmcroft Assisted Living in Lake Jackson Texas. Jack moved to Texas in January to be closer to his son, daughter in law and buddy Bullet. 

Jack was born on September 15, 1929 in Pattensburg, Mo., the son of Virginia and Roy Weber. On August 15, 1953 in LaGrange he was united in marriage to Reva Faye Harrison. 


Jack retired from the Kirksville school system after teaching band for many years. He also taught band at LaGrange High School. He was a Deacon of the First Baptist church of Kirksville and was very active in the choir and bell program. 

He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Midway, serving from May of 1951 until his discharge in April of 1955. 


He is survived by a son, Dr. Andrew Elton Weber and his wife Vickie of Brazoria, Texas; one sister, Mary Jane Tate and husband Mickey; two step grandchildren, Dawn Delaine Craig and Jennifer Ryan and four great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Madison, Elliott and Olivia. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. 



Funeral service were held December 27, 2015 at the Davis-Playle Hudson Rimer Funeral Home in Kirksville, officiated by Rev. Carrol Davenport. Music provided Cheryl Newland.

Interment will be in the Maywood Cemetery in Maywood, MO. 

Pallbearers were Richard Tate, Angela Walbring, Mark Tate, Eddie Buck, Cliff Jordan and Gene Walbring. Honorary Pallbearers were Dave Schattgen and Mickey Tate. 


Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
