ANNE TYLER

Genevieve Anne Tyler, 82 of Quincy, Illinois and formerly of Lewistown, Missouri was called home to the Lord Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

Anne was born June 18, 1933 in Moline, Illinois to the late John and Leona (Bowers) Tyler.

She was a member of the Lewistown Christian Church. She began her nursing career in the early sixties as an aid at Prairie View Rest Home in Lewistown. She went on to become an LPN, working at Prairie View Rest Home, St. Marys Hospital and Good Samaritan Home before having to retire.

Anne always had a smile for everyone. She enjoyed her niece, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed old movies, reading and word search puzzles and after retiring, residing at Sycamore Healthcare Center visiting with the other residents and participating in the activities.

She is survived by two sisters, Jo Anne (Don) Campbell of Carthage, Il. and Carolyn Hatfield of Quincy, Il.; two nephews, Randall (Justyna) Hatfield and their children, Eryka and Alan of Pearland, Texas and David (Maggie) Hatfield of Quincy, Il.; niece, Tina (Russ) Walker and their children Harley, Noah and Jacob of Quincy, Il.; great-nephew, David Hatfield II and his son, Sean, his girlfriend Brooke and her children, Kallie, Joscelyn and Wyatt of Quincy, Il.; great-niece, Jennifer (Jerod) Cantrell and their children, Paige and Bryce of Quincy, Il.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the Lewistown Cemetery, Lewistown, Missouri with Rev. Jack Vahle officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Sycamore Healthcare Center.
