NEYSA TURPIN

Mrs. Neysa Ann Turpin, 71, died October 21, 2015, at her Coatsburg, Ill., home with family by her side. Neysa was born October 13, 1944, in Quincy, Ill., at Blessing Hospital to Forrest and Elaine Adair Haskins.

On July 13, 1992, She married her soulmate, Gary Turpin. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers fan. If you ever stepped foot in her house, this would be evident with the decorations. She spent most of her time in her garden. She was known by many as a green thumb to all of her family and friends. As her children can attest, she loved to dance and sing aloud her favorite classics. Last year for her 70th birthday, her family and friends celebrated with a party highlighted with an Elvis Impersonator. Throughout her life, she loved listening and singing all of Elvis's greatest hits. She loved when family would come to town for meals. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing golf at Cedar Crest Country Club. Among many employments throughout her life, she retired from North Adams State Bank after 11 years of service. She was a member of Clayton Baptist Church.

Neysa is survived by her husband Gary Turpin, who remains in the home. Her children, Kim (Jim) Alford, Angela Hahn, Angel Solak, Michael (Hatter) Cummings, Jason (Michelle) Turpin. Grandchildren listed in chronological order: Alyssa Rusher, Jacob Solak, Joshua Alford, Haley Turpin, Faith Alford, Braedon Solak, Eli Cummings, Mackenzie Turpin, Sophie Cummings. Great grandchild Adriee Rusher. Brothers Jerry (Linda) Haskins, Cecil (Cathy) Haskins, Forrest (Teri) Haskins, sisters Marsha (Randy) Bunge and Pam Noble; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Elaine Haskins.

Funeral services were held Oct. 26, 2015 at the Lummis Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point, Ill. Visitation was held Oct. 25, 2015.

Burial was in the LaBelle Cemetery.
