ZACH ALLISON

Zach J, Allison died July 4, 2019 in Mesa, AZ.  He was a former Maywood and La Grange resident in his younger days.  He was born October 25, 1935 to Christoper and Helen (Leach) Allison in Peoria, IL .He was united in marriage to Phyllis Huff September 19, 1964 in Eaton Rapids Michigan...  Zach was a member of the Connect Church in Mesa.

While living in the La Grange and Maywood area he attended South Union Baptist Church and La Grange First Baptist Church.  He graduated from La Grange High School in 1953.  He enlisted in the United states Air Force and served his country faithfully for 20 years,   He received his Master's Degree from Tampa University  He had served in Viet Nam, receiving  a Purple heart after that tour of Duty. He retired in 1985 while serving at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuguergue, NM. After that retirement, he held a management position at Phillips Computer Company..   He and Phyllis enjoyed traveling.  He especially enjoyed the reunions with his class of 53.  In 2014 he and his family, along with nieces, enjoyed a trip to Hawaii to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis, daughter Susan (Allison) Andazola, son Zach Allison ll, grandchildren Shelby, Noah and Monroe Allison, along with nieces Tina, Julie and Lori. Relatives from this area include Roger and Nancy Tiemann and family.

He was proceeded in death by his brothers Chris and Lewis. 

The inscription on his grave marker will say so much about this man's life, He SERVED GOD. FAMILY AND COUNTRY
