DORIS BRUMBAUGH

Doris Catheryn Brumbaugh, 98 of Lewistown, Missouri died June 26, 2019 at the Country Aire Retirement Estates at Lewistown.

The daughter of Archie and Bessie Ellen Brumbaugh Thrasher was born on February 3, 1921 in rural Lewis County Missouri.

She was united in marriage to Harry Brumbaugh on December 17, 1938 at Edina, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 24, 1981.

Doris was Christian by faith. She was a dedicated wife and mother who liked cooking, gardening, quilting and taking care of her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Erma Geisendorfer of LaBelle, Mo. and Roberta (Russell) Stice of Lewistown, Mo.; a son, James Brumbaugh of Lewistown, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Wendeline Brumbaugh of Bethel, Mo.; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sons, Glen, Ersel, David, Kenneth and Melvin Brumbaugh, granddaughter, Gail Brumbaugh, grandson, Richard Stice, granddaughter-in-law, Tracy Brumbaugh, daughter-in-law, Teresa Brumbaugh and son-in-law, Kenneth Geisendorfer.

Funeral services were held June 29, 2019 at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Lewistown, Missouri with Rev. Paul Milliken officiating. Visitation was held prior to services Grandson Pallbearers: Joe Brumbaugh, Jason Brumbaugh, Doug Geisendorfer, Randy Stice, Brad Kaylor, Scott Jones and Glen Brumbaugh. Honorary Pallbearers: Richard Stice, Gail Brumbaugh and Tracy Brumbaugh..

Burial was in the Midway Cemetery in rural Lewistown, Missouri.
