CECIL MORROW

Cecil Dean Morrow, 93, of LaBelle, Mo., died October 24 2015, in Northeast Regional Medical Center Kirksville, Mo. ?He was born September 11, 1922, in the Deer Ridge community north of LaBelle, the son of Emer Lewis and Lucy Alberta Vice Morrow.

?He was married to Marjorie June Miller on January 23, 1949 in LaBelle, Mo.

Cecil received his education in the Walker rural school. He served his country in the United Sates Army during World War II, 1942 to 1943. He co-owned and operated Morrows Service Station in LaBelle with his brother Harold for 36 years. He was a member of the LaBelle Christian Church, the Knox City American Legion 358 and the LaBelle City Council for many years. He was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, enjoyed woodworking, helping/caring for others and spending time with family and friends. He took great pride and joy in displaying his Christmas decorations.

Surviving are three daughters Susan Lynn Lay, husband Jim of Blakesburg, Iowa, Barbara Jean Parrish, husband Elvin of LaBelle, Mo., and Mary Kaye Bronestine, husband Randy of Monticello, Mo. Nine grandchildren, Leslie (David) Orman, Michael (Dawna) Lay, Miranda (Dusty) Hunter, David (Jennifer) Parrish, Amanda (Les) Whitley, Kevin (Amy) Parrish, Michelle (Chris) Parrish, Darin (Angela) Bronestine, Dustin (April) Bronestine. Twenty one great grandchildren, one sister, Dorothy Webster of Wyaconda, Mo., one sister-in-law Nelda Crider of LaBelle, Mo., and many nieces and nephews. ?

He was preceded him in death by his wife, parents, bothers (Otis, Harold, Vance Morrow), sisters (Dema Carlson, Betty Brocksmith, Alberta Harvey, Maxine Nichols), and half-brothers (Wayne, Ivan, Wilber Morrow).

?Funeral services were held October 27 2015, at the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, Mo. Reverend John Dugan officiated. ?Music and vocals will be provided by Megan and Emily Orman, Casket bearers: Michael Lay, David Parrish, Kevin Parrish, Darin Bronestine, Dustin Bronestine, David Orman, Dusty Hunter, Chris Parrish and Les Whitley. ?Honorary bearers: Leslie Orman, Miranda Hunter, Amanda Whitley, Michelle Parrish, Jennifer Parrish, Amy Parrish, April Bronestine, Angela King and Dawna Lay. Visitation was held Oct. 26, 2015.

Burial with full military honors will be at the LaBelle Cemetery conducted by Knox City American Legion Post.
