Dennis Lee Boltz, age 63 of Knox City, Mo., died April 5, 2019, in Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
He was born January 22, 1956, at Colony, Mo., the son of Marshall Bud and Doris Irene Lindsey Boltz.
Dennis graduated from Knox County High School and attended two years at Northeast MO State University (Truman State University) where he majored in Accounting. Dennis was employed in bookkeeping at Gleason Auto Parts in Kirksville, MO for 37 years. Dennis loved fishing, hunting, playing volleyball and was deacon and treasurer at the Knox City Baptist Church.
Surviving are four sisters, Linda (Ronnie) House of LaBelle, MO, Betty (Steve) Whiteaker of LaBelle, Mo.; Judy (Bill) Fountain of Knox City, Mo; and Alma (Doug) Wilson of Knox City, Mo; a brother-in-law, Mike Wilson of Knox City, Mo; and several nieces, nephews and aunts.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, a twin brother Donald Lynn Boltz, a sister Velma Wilson and two nieces, Julie Anna Fountain and Tina Edwards.
Funeral services were held April 8, 2019, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Reverend Doug Wilson officiated the services.
Casket bearers: Mike Whiteaker, Christopher Edwards, Billy Fountain, Tyler Adams, James Wilson and Alec Hawkins. Honorary bearers: Kenny Edwards, Dwight Buckingham, Danny Deming and Henry Roush. Visitation was held April 7, 2019, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
Burial was in the Colony Cemetery.
