Jessie Junior Stone, 86 of rural Ewing, Missouri, died March 1, 2019 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, Missouri.

The son of William Jess and Martha Ann Forquer Stone was born on May 23, 1932 at Greensburg, Missouri.

He was united in marriage to Betty L. Noble on March 17, 1951 at Philadelphia, Missouri.

Junior was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lewistown and the Machinist Union 822 in Quincy, Il. He worked for the Missouri State Highway Department, Bob Cater Construction Company of Kahoka, Mo. and Gardner-Denver of Quincy, Il. After retiring in 2004 they moved to the family farm East of Steffenville, Mo. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and especially spending time with family. He also ran B & J Wood Crafts from 1989-2003.

He is survived by his wife Betty L. Stone of Ewing, Mo.; a son , Philip (Diane) Stone of Ewing, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Yvonne Stone of Ewing, Mo.; four grandchildren, David Jason (Amanda) Stone of Ewing, Mo., Shelly (Andrew) Kraemer of Quincy, Il., Ryan (Autumn) Stone of Ewing, Mo., Shannon (Doug) Lewis of Quincy, Il.; eight great-grandchildren, Tanner and Tucker Stone, Nathan and Mathew Kraemer, Blake and Brody Stone, Kason Stone and Kyree Lewis; two step-great-granddaughters, Dannica and Nikki Lewis; nieces, Linda Gower of Canton, Mo. and Sheila (Darryl) Bealmer of Atlanta, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, David Lyle Stone and a sister, Anna Mae Burford.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Lewistown, Missouri with Rev. Ted Middleton officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Lewistown. Pallbearers: Ryan Stone, Drew Kraemer, Mathew Kraemer, Jason Stone, Tanner Stone and Blake Stone. Honorary Pallbearers: Tucker Stone, Nathan Kraemer, Brody Stone, Kason Stone and Kyree Lewis. Music: Saxophonist, Nathan Kraemer.

Burial will be in the Lewistown Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Lewistown Cemetery Association or First Baptist Church of Lewistown.
