Justin Robert Allison

Justin Robert Allison, 42 of Canton, Missouri passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 at his home in Canton.

The son of Larry and Marsha Sommers Allison was born on September 12, 1976 at Quincy, Illinois.

Justin had served as Battalion Chief for the Canton R-V Fire Department and as an EMT for the Lewis County Ambulance District. He was a loyal Bergner's employee for 16 years. He recently took a job at Culver-Stockton College. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and enjoyed helping run demolition derbies. He liked to spend time at the family farm with his two boys, hunting, fishing and camping. He also liked to watch movies with his boys. He was a good, dependable friend. He was known to be able to fix anything.

He is survived by his two sons, Matthew and Benjamin Allison of Canton, MO; his mother, Marsha Allison of Canton; sister, Erin Allison of Canton; brother, Ross (Jessica) Allison of Canton; niece, Avery Allison; and several aunts, uncles & cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Allison; maternal grandparents, Bayne and Mina Sommers; paternal grandparents, Bob and Ethel Allison.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Bluff Springs United Methodist Church near Canton, Missouri with Rev. Barb Hagerla and Rev. Mandy Gosik officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 until 8 PM at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Canton. Firefighter and EMS Honors will be provided by the MO EMS Funeral Team, MO Fire Service Team, Canton R-V Fire Protection District and the Lewis County Ambulance District.

Memorials may be made to his Children’s Educational Fund.
