NORMA EARLYWINE

Mrs. Norma B. Earlywine, 81 of Lewistown, Missouri died September 12, 2015 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

The daughter of William and Carrie (Lehenbauer) Hunt was born on May 6, 1934 at Hannibal, Missouri.

She was united in marriage 61 years ago to Merlin Earlywine on September 19, 1954 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Hannibal, Missouri.

Norma was a 60 year member of St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church in LaGrange, Missouri. She was an auxiliary member of the American Legion Lewis County Memorial Post 578 and the Marriage Encounter Circle for 23 years. She liked to attend Bluegrass festivals, garden, cook and bake. She babysit many children throughout the years and she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Merlin Earlywine of Lewistown, Mo.; five children, Delbert (Olivia) Earlywine of Monroe City, Mo, Kathy Wood of Wright City, Mo., Linda (John) Whitaker of Ewing, Mo., Karen (Paul) Olson of LaGrange, Il. and Janet (David) McCoy of Leonard, Mo.; thirteen grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wilbert (Roberta) Hunt of Columbia, Mo. and Walter (LouElla) Hunt of Hannibal, Mo.; sister, Hilda (Paul) Lahr of LaGrange, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Joshua Fleer and step-grandson, David Klocke.

Funeral services were held September 15, 2015 at St. Peters Lutheran Church in LaGrange, Missouri. with Pastor Andrew Walker officiating. Visitation was held September 14 at Arnolds Funeral Home in Lewistown, Mo. Organist: Mrs. Wilma Maples. Pallbearers: Travis Fleer, Adam Ragar, Eric Ragar, Matthew Earlywine, Daniel Earlywine and Elliott Olson.

Burial was in Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal, Missouri.
