BETTY L. STOW

Mrs. Betty L. Stow, age 95, of Canton, MO passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at her home in Canton.

She was born October 24, 1922 in Gregory Landing, MO a daughter of G. Everett and Virginia Anderson Banks. She married Robert E. Stow on July 5, 1942 in Canton, MO. He passed away February 15, 2011.

Betty worked as a switchboard operator, secretary and co-owner of a restaurant before becoming a full-time mom. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, where she was an active member of the choir for many years.

Survivors include her children, Robert (Mary) Stow of Canton, Ann (Lee) Hammer of Canton, Nancy (Jim) Miluski of Columbia, MO and Joe (Carol) Stow of Jefferson City, MO; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Alice V. Smith.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, July 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Grove Cemetery in Canton with Rev. David Yonker officiating. No visitation will be held, but friends are invited to the service.

The family suggests memorials be made to Immanuel United Methodist Church.
