DARLENE DAVIS

Darlene Ann Leona Davis, 79, of Durham, Mo., died June 3, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born July 29, 1938, in Illinois the daughter of Russell and Dorothy Hild Turner.

She was united in marriage to Joseph E. Davis on July 14, 1972, in Quincy, Ill. Darlene’s mother died when she was two years old and she was raised by her grandparents, Marvin and Leona Turner. Darlene graduated from High School in Quincy, and then attended college and received her L.P.N. License. Darlene was employed as an L.P.N. for 28 and a half years at the Veterans Home in Quincy, Ill. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the Order of The Eastern Star both of Quincy, IL. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, her animals and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her husband Joseph E. Davis of Durham, Mo; three children, Dawn Johnson, Debbie Johnson and Michael Johnson all of Durham, Mo., one brother Michael (Bobbi) Turner of Oklahoma, six grandchildren, Diana Johnson of Florida, Denise Johnson of Monroe City, Mo., Amanda (Travis) Fleer of Lewistown, Mo., Austin Cook of LaGrange, Mo., Melissa Johnson and Marty Johnson of St. Louis, Mo., five great grandchildren, Draven Johnson, Sebastian Cramer, Theron and Ashton Fleer and Cayden Cook, several cousins, and a life long friend Erma Foster of Quincy, Ill.

Darlene’s wishes were to be cremated with no services. Burial will be at a later date in the LaBelle Cemetery.

Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle is in charge of the arrangements.
