WAYNE STINSON

Wayne Stinson, 84 of Lewistown, Missouri died May 15, 2018 at the Country Aire Retirement Estates at Lewistown.

The son of Fred and Eunice M. Henry Stinson was born on May 5, 1934 at Lewistown, Missouri.

Wayne was member of the First Baptist Church of Lewistown and the La Belle Masonic Lodge 222 A.F. & A.M. He liked to boat, fish, bbq at family gatherings and visit with friends. He was manager of the former Home Gas Company in La Belle and he owned and operated Cable Plowing in Lewistown. After retirement he enjoyed delivering prescriptions for the County Market Pharmacy in Lewistown.

He was united in marriage to Joyce Pulse and to this union three children were born, Cathy (Gary) Schluckebier of Quincy, Il., Steven W. Stinson of La Belle, Mo. and Beverly (Fred) Smith of Englewood, Fl. He later married Geraldine Michel Daak on April 27, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Lewistown. She survives.

He is also survived by two grandchildren, Nikki (Rich) Allen-Cain of Quincy, Il. and Danielle (Dave) Taughinbaugh of Austin, Tx.; four great-grandchildren, Lauren Allen, Audra Cain, Jeffrey and Kaitlyn Taughinbaugh; two step-sons, Michel P. (Melba) Daak of Hilo, Hawaii and Steven Daak of La Belle, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and Elmo Elsea and a brother, Roy Ed Stinson.

Funeral services were held May 18, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Lewistown, Mo., with Rev. Ted Middleton officiating. Pallbearers: Nolan Gibson, Dave Davis, Steve Daak, Jon Simmons, Rich Cain and Fred Smith. Honorary Pallbearers: Francis Benson, Earl Kempe and Gary Schluckebeier

Burial was in the Lewistown Cemetery.

Memorials: First Baptist Church of Lewistown or the James E. Cary Cancer Center at Hannibal.
