DELBERT MYERS

Delbert Levy Myers, 92, of LaBelle, Mo., died March 28, 2018, in the LaBelle Manor Care Center in LaBelle, Mo.

He was born February 7, 1926, in Knox County the son of Lewis William and Nellie V. Levy Myers. He was united in marriage to Oneta Louise Breen on December 18, 1948, and she preceded her in death on October 31, 2014.

Delbert received his education at Salem rural school and graduated from LaBelle High School. Delbert served his country in the United States marines during World War II. Delbert was engaged in farming all his life in the LaBelle area. Delbert served for several years on the LaBelle Manor Board. He enjoyed attending auctions and collecting lamps and lanterns.

Surviving are three children, Delbert Kent (Marlene) Myers of Knox City, Mo., Martin Craig (Debbie) Myers of Ewing, MO, and Margaret (Tom) Westfall of Kirksville, Mo., seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Additional family members are two nephews F.L. Scott and wife Dianna of LaPlata, Mo., and the late Roger Scott and wife Tammy of LaBelle, Mo.

Delbert was also preceded in death by his parents, one sister Geraldine Scott, a brother-in-law Mike Scott and two nephews Roger and Jerry Ray Scott.

Funeral services were held March 31, 2018, in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, Mo. Reverend Ted Middleton officiated the services. Music provided by Brent Karhoff, soloist and Carol Hayes, organist. Casket bearers: Todd Myers, Zach Myers, Thomas Paul Westfall, Keith Tasco, Denton Nall and Derek Smith. Honorary bearers: Leland Phillips, David Hatfield, Randy Michel, Bobby Minear, David Bradley, Butch Patrick and Gary See. Visitation was held March 30, 2018 in the Coder Funeral Chapel.

Burial was in the LaBelle Cemetery.
