Eula Jean Griffin, 88, died Feb. 8, 2018, in Michigan, at Bronson Commons in Mattawan, Michigan.

She was born Dec. 18, 1929 in LaGrange, Mo., the daughter of Leo and Ruth (Solter) McCullough. The family had also lived in Canton, Mo.

Eula married Edgar Griffin on Aug. 1, 1947. Edgar died Aug. 19, 2008.

Eula was a former member of the Hess-Eastman Post 174 Auxiliary of Lawrence and the Benevolence Chapter 256 Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed doing crafts of all kinds, especially sewing and making quilts.

She is survived by two sons, Tim (Kristine Brando) Griffin of Decatur, Michigan and Ted (Mary) Griffin of Lawrence, Michigan; four grandchildren, Justin, Brian, Collin and Danny, seven great-grandchildren, a brother William McCullough of McArthur, California, numerous family members and friends and several cousins in the Lewis County area, including the Solter, McCullough and Tiemann families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Thomas Griffin and a brother, Lee Roy McCullough.

Services were held Feb. 16, 2018 at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford, Michigan with Chaplain Gene Craven officiating.
