David R. Predmore, 75, of Canton, died August 27, 2017, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

Dave was born on December 22, 1941, in Hannibal to William and Dorthalyne Predmore.

Surviving are his children, Meghan Predmore of Coeur d’Alene, ID; Ross (Catie) Predmore of Morton, Ill.; and Alex (Stephie) Predmore of Bloomington, Ill; and one granddaughter.

Dave was a graduate of Barry High School, Culver-Stockton College, and Arizona State University. In addition to a tenure at Mutual of Omaha, he spent many years working as a business professor at his own alma mater, Culver-Stockton.

Baseball was one of Dave’s lifelong passions; he was a catcher for the Culver-Stockton 1961 Hall of Fame Baseball Team and maintained a love for the game throughout his adulthood. As a young adult, he rode and participated in shows with Tennessee Walking Horses. Fishing, tennis, playing music, and going to concerts were also some of his favorite pastimes. Following his retirement, Dave enjoyed spending his time at the local library, laughing and spending time with his friends at Primos Pizza, and attending Culver-Stockton sporting events.

Dave was a faithful member of St. John’s Anglican Parish in Quincy, where he served as Sexton for many years and was always available to help others in need.

Graveside services and inurnment will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry, IL with Fr. Patrick Smith officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning, September 13, 2017 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the Merillat Chapel on the Campus of Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo.
