EVA SUE ABELL

Mrs. Eva Sue Abell, 54, of Canton, Mo., died September 4, 2017 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.

She was born June 30, 1963 in Kirksville, Mo., a daughter of Glenn E. and Marjorie Ann Luker Sweet. She married George Edward Vahle on August 23, 1985. She later married Dennis Abell on May 9, 1997. He survives.

Sue was a 1981 graduate of Highland High School. She had worked as a CNA for a number of years and also was a driver for the Amish community. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her two grandchildren. Sue loved to laugh, joke with everyone and being around the public.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis of Canton; three children, Cassondria Vahle, Donald (Krystina) Vahle and William Vahle all of Canton; three brothers, George (Teresa) Sweet of West Ely, Mo., Kenny (Diana) Sweet of Mexico, Mo., and Ed (Dawn) Sweet of Canton; three sisters, Nancy (Terre) Buffington of Canton, JoAnn (Gary) McChristy of New London, Mo., and Joy (Doug) Daggs of Ewing, Mo; two grandchildren, Hunter and Abbigale Vahle both of Canton; brother in law, Dean Potts of Lewistown, Mo., and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Betty Potts and two nephews, Ronald Sweet and Dalton Daggs.

Graveside services and burial will be held Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the Durham Cemetery at Durham, Mo., with Pastor Harry Copper officiating.Pallbearers: Charlie Howard, Chis Carlin, Jeremy Potts, Ron Sweet, Nick Sweet and Dakota Sherwood.

Honorary Pallbearer: Kiley Turnbaugh. Music: Kiss an Angel Good Morning.

There will not be any visitation, but family and friends are invited to attend the committal service.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
