Curtis John Rogers, Sr., 54, of Jacksboro, Texas, died August 21, 2017 in Pampa, Texas. He was born on May 22, 1963 to William G. Rogers and Shirley June (Moore) Rogers in Quincy, Illinois.

Curtis moved with his family to Jacksboro in 1975 and maintained a lengthy career in the oilfield as a drilling supervisor. He was a loving and kind man who worked hard. Curtis was an avid sports fan, loved classic rock, and he could always entertain you with a good story! He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter Ashlie.

Survivors include his parents, William Glenn Rogers of Jacksboro and Shirley June Moore Anderson of Pampa; children Zelphany Shantel Rogers of Fort Worth, Kellie Ranae Rogers of Bryson, Curtis John Rogers, Jr. of Austin, siblings Kimberly Burk and husband Tim of Edmond, Karen Sue Brooks and husband Roy of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kelly Rogers of Pampa, Kent William Rogers and wife Ronda of Alvord, Craig Matthew Rogers and wife Nantiya of Denver; grandchildren Caleb James and Luna May; nieces and nephews Riley, Justin, Ashleigh, Jason, Jesse, Bennett, and Matilyn; and many other extended family members and friends.
