MARCIA SUTTER

Marcia Ann Sutter, 63, of Taylor, Mo. died April 30, 2017 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy from complications from ALS. Marcia was born July 22, 1953 to Gerald L. and Marjorie Ann Wenneker Sutter. Marcia was in the first graduating class at Highland High School, she graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing from Southeastern Community College in Keokuk, IA. She then received a B. S. in Nursing from Hannibal-LaGrange College and had worked on her Masters Degree for two years. Marcia had worked at St. Mary's Hospital as a Head Pediatric Nurse, then was a R. N. supervisor at the Illinois Veterans Home for over 24 years. She also was a Nursing Instructor at John Wood Community College and was a community R. N. at TLC-Sutter Home in Palmyra. Marcia loved being a nurse, loved spending time with her grandkids and watching St. Louis Cardinal baseball. She enjoyed traveling and reading. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Taylor and her faith in Christ was unwavering. She is survived by a Son, Jared (Crystal) Sutter, Brothers, Stephen (Debra) Sutter, Daniel (Tina) Sutter, Richard (Kay) Sutter, all of Taylor, MO.; , Timothy (Carla) Sutter, Hannibal, MO.; Sister, Peggy (Doug) Hoerr, Morton, IL.; Mother, Marjorie Sutter, Taylor, MO. and grandchildren;, Terah Jordan Sutter, Taylor Sutter, and Chandler Sutter. She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Sutter.Funeral services were held May 3, at the Apostolic Christian Church in Taylor. Pallbearers: Caleb Sutter, Wesley Sutter, Clinton Sutter, Chad Hoerr, Nathan Sutter, Josh Sutter, Craig Sutter, Cole Sutter, and Seth Hoerr. The Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra is in charge of arrangements.Interment will be in the Apostolic Church Cemetery in Taylor. Memorial contributions may be made to ALS Association .
