PATRICIA KAY LA COUNT

Mrs. Patricia Kay LaCount, 65, of La Grange, Mo., died February 17, 2017 at Country Aire Retirement Estates at Lewistown, Mo, surrounded by her loving family. Pat lost her fight with cancer, which she had battled bravely since June 2015. She was born on March 3, 1951 a daughter of Wayne Eugene and Ernestine Dorothy (Gooch) Priebe Sr. Pat married Ronald Francis LaCount on May 27, 1972 in Canton, Mo. He survives. She was a graduate of Canton R-V School class of 1969. Pat enjoyed her hobbies of spending time with her four grandkids, her animals, and yard sales. Pat worked at Food Center Grocery Store, Lewis County Nursing Home, Capps Variety Store,and Lewis County Ambulance (EMT). She retired from Culver Stockton College in September 2015 after 30 years of service where she was a housekeeper. Pat is survived by her husband of La Grange; children, Susan Gail (Stacey) Meyer of LaGrange and Ronald Joseph (Rhonda) LaCount of Canton; four grandchildren, Drake Allyn and Kyler Zayne Meyer of La Grange and Clayton Anderson and Jonathan Xavier LaCount of Canton; three brothers, Wayne Eugene Priebe Jr., Michael Ray (Paula) Priebe, and Stephen Lynn (Ann) Priebe all of Canton and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and infant sister Marsha. Funeral services were held February 21, 2017. at the Davis Funeral Home in Canton with Pastor Harry Cooper officiating. Pallbearers: Aaron Stutheit, Joe LaCount, Stacey Meyer, Danny Priebe, Todd Logsdon, Travis Schnitzer, Keyan Christian and Joe Boyer. Honorary Pallbearers: Mike Priebe, Gene Priebe and Steve Priebe. Music: “Wind Beneath My Wings”, by Bette Midler, “Only Time”, by Enya, “How Great Thou Art”. Visitation was held Feb. 20 at the Davis Funeral Home in Canton.
