MARGARET ERMA CLARK MARSOT

Mrs. Margaret Erma Clark Marsot, 97, of Canton, Mo., died July 10, 2015 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

She was born August 12, 1917 on a farm Southeast of Edina, MO a daughter of James Patrick and Mary Mabel Kriegshauser Clark. She married Jerome Vincent Marsot on June 12, 1947 in Edina. He passed away on January 11, 1983.

Erma was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ewing, MO where she taught CCD classes for several years was on Parish Council and is a member of the Ladies Sodality. She was a member of the Williamstown Wednesday Extension Club until they disbanded. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, gardening, writing poetry and spending time with family and friends and cat Phoebe. She was also a 4-H leader for many years.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Margaret (Margee) Marsot of Canton; one sister, Edith Welch of Trenton, MO; two sisters in law, Beulah Marsot of Keokuk, IA and Marie Clark of Edina and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother Lawrence Clark and two sisters, Leona Moore and Rita Miller.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held July 15, 2015 10 a.m. at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ewing with Fr. Basil Eruo, Fr. Boniface Kasiita Nzabonimpa and Fr. Angelus Minj officiating.

Burial will be in Queen of Peace Cemetery in Ewing. Visitation was held July 14, 2015. with a Rosary Service at the Davis Funeral Home in Canton. Music was byJim Clark, Kyle Clark and Mary Welch Rogers

Readers: Regina Morin and Larry Clark. Pallbearers: Jim Clark, Larry Clark, Bill Smith, E.H. Smith, Kirk Briscoe, Terry Fretwell, Brian Munzlinger and Mark Marsot. Honorary Pallbearers: Larry Moore, Bob Moore, Mark Welch, Jim Miller, Annie Ogilvie, Regina Morin, Elaine Campbell, Shirlene Zipp, Mary Welch Rogers, Marlena Day, Linda Miller, Barb Smith, Judy Smith and Shirley Diederich.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Association, Alzheimers Association, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Notre Dame Catholic Church, Queen of Peace Catholic Church or Lewis County Nursing Home.
