WANDA LYONS

Wanda Lyons, 69, died December 11, 2016 at her home in Warsaw, Illinois. She was born on December 2, 1947 in Quincy, IL, the daughter of Bob Bartz and Betty Hutcherson Bartz Carle. Wanda was married to Hurless Heckrodt. Wanda married Jim Lyons on November 12, 1988 in Keokuk, Iowa at the First Baptist Church. He died June 26, 2012. Wanda attended school in Plymouth / Augusta, Illinois. She had worked at Shellor Globe in Keokuk, Iowa and was a member of Local Steel Workers 444. She enjoyed shopping and visiting her great grandson in North Carolina. She loved time spent with her family. Survivors include her mother, Betty Carle of Warsaw, IL; a daughter: Christina (Dave) Burnett of Tioga, Illinois; three sons: Joseph (Stacey) Heckrodt of Whitehall Illinois, James (Dana) Heckrodt of Athens, Illinois, and Jessie Garrett of Springfield; Illinois; a sister: Patty (Terry) Daniels of Keokuk, Iowa; a brother: Darryl (Penny) Bartz of Mississippi; eight grandchildren: six great grandchildren: and many nieces and nephews including: Terry (Rhonda) Daniels, Jr. of Conroe, TX, and Troy (April) Daniels of Keokuk, IA. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father, and a brother: Bobby Bartz. Funeral Services were held Dec. 15, 2016 at Lamporte - St. Clair Funeral Home of Hamilton. Burial was in Bethany United Church of Christ Cemetery, Tioga, IL. Memorials have been established for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
