Dorothy Marie Wolfmeyer Davis, 94, of the Country Aire Retirement Estates in Lewistown, Mo., died December 7, 2016 in the home. Dorothy was born August 18, 1922 in LaGrange, Mo., to Joseph Benjamin and Wilhemenia Solter Wolfmeyer. She was married to William Cox in February 1943. She was later married to Sam Davis of Ottumwa, Iowa. She was of the Protestant faith. She is survived by her daughters: Jeanette Buragas of Springfield, Ill., and Betty Langford of Jacksonville, Ill; grandchildren, Michael “Amelia” Buragas of Bloomington, Ill., Eric “Susan”Langford also of Bloomington, Ill., and Rebecca “Dan” Davidson of Jacksonville, Ill; great grandchildren, Evan, Ethan, and Elias Langford of Bloomington, Ill, Alexander and Sebastian Buragas of Bloomington, Ryan, Abby, Kyle and Caleb Davidson of Jacksonville, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, and brothers, Lawrence “Dora” Wolfmeyer and Milton “Cleatice” Wolfmeyer, and her son in law, Joseph Buragas. Graveside services were held December 10, 2016 at Riverview Cemetery in LaGrange, Mo., with Rev. Ted Middleton officiating. Memorials may be made to the Country Aire Retirement Estates activity fund which may be left or mailed to Davis Funeral Home in Canton.
