Roderick D. Webster, 84 of Lewistown, Missouri died November 27, 2016 at his home in Lewistown. The son of Elmer R. and Helen Naomi (Dice) Webster was born on October 16, 1932 in rural Williamstown, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Margie Ruth Walker on June 7, 1953 at the home of Margie’s parents in Luray, Missouri. Rod was a Baptist minister and operated big machines in construction. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lewistown where he served as a Deacon, Sunday school teacher and Pastor Emeritus. He served as Mayor of Lewistown in the early 70’s. He enjoyed new technology, watching birds, especially blue birds, mushroom hunting and reading. He loved serving God and his Lewistown Baptist Church family. He is survived by six children, Rosetta (Larry) Springer of Lubbock, Texas, Bruce (Georgia) Webster of Mesa, Arizona, Rodney Webster of Lewistown, Mo., Violet (Roger) Price of Easton, Mo., Iris Schultz of Quincy, Il. and Holly (Dan) Dehner of New London, Mo.; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; brother, Charles W. ȐChuckȑ (Kay) Webster of Canton, Mo.; sister, Anna Belle (Alan) Schork of Maquoketa, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Garland and Floyd R. Webster; granddaughter, Lisa Schultz and two great-granddaughters, Alexanna Garcia and Regan Webster. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 2, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Lewistown with Pastor Ted Middleton officiating. Pianist: Cathy Kelso, Vocalist: Roger Price Pallbearers: Randy Sharpe, Kenny Gillespie, Otis Smith, Tom Baker, Kent Whitlatch and Charles L. Arnold, Jr. Visitation will be held Dec. 1 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Lewistown. Burial will be in the Lewistown Cemetery. Memorials to the First Baptist Church of Lewistown.
