LOIS DARLENE KURK

Lois Darlene Kurk, 85 of Lewistown, Missouri died Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. The daughter of Bert E. and Bertha A. (Sego) Whan was born on March 16, 1931 at Mercer, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Robert G. Kurk on July 15, 1951 at Tolona, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2015. Darlene was a member of the Lewistown Christian Church and the Lewis County Memorial Post #578 Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, cooking and visiting with friends. She is survived by a son, Steven D. Kurk of Lewistown, Mo.; daughter, Judith Lynn Kurk of Lewistown, Mo.; two grandsons, Nathan and Masson Kurk both of Lewistown, Mo.; great-grandson, Shane Kurk of Lewistown, Mo.; sister-in-laws, Della Whan of Knox City, Mo. and Norene (Craig) Hinton of Canton, Mo.; several nieces and nephews including, George Daniel Knight of Quincy, Il. and Carolyn Sue Logsdon of Lewistown, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Stella Knight, four brothers, Orville, Homer, Elmer and Rodney Whan. Graveside funeral services and inurnment will be held Friday, October 7, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Quincy Memorial Park Cemetery in Quincy, Illinois with Rev. Paul Milliken officiating.
