JAMES MCCLAUGHRY

James K. McClaughry, 75 of Canton, Missouri died September 23, 2016 at his home in Canton. The son of James E. and Vera J. Boyce McClaughry was born on January 27, 1941 at Quincy, Illinois. He was united in marriage to Beverly K. Job on January 20, 1968 at Keokuk, Iowa. She preceded him in death on August 17, 2010. Jim was a proud patriot serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Otto Bruner Post 170 and the Canton-LaGrange V.F.W. Post 4083. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and he farmed for many years. He is survived by two children, Vickie Paulsen of Palmyra, Mo. and James H. McClaughry & his wife Crystal of Tulsa, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Angelina Worrell, Jamey Paulsen, Emily Paulsen, Devin McClaughry, Matt McClaughry, Sean McClaughry, Allison McClaughry and Joline McClaughry; four great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Bob Collins of Canton, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents, wife, a grandson, Andrew McClaughry and a sister Linda Collins. Graveside military services and inurnment were held September 27, 2016 at the Forest Grove Cemetery in Canton. Memorials may be made to the James E. Cary Cancer Center in Hannibal, Mo.
