THELMA HORNER BECKMAN HOSTETTER

Thelma Horner Beckman Hostetter died Jan. 16, 2015 in Bloomfield, Colo. Family graveside services were held Jan. 18, 2015.

She was born in Clark County, Mo., on March 31, 1928, the daughter of Harry Earl and Chloe Nettie Smith Horner. She graduated from Canton High School, Canton, Mo., and business college in Quincy, Ill. She worked in the Air Force Academy Library in Colorado Springs, Colo., until she retired and later returned to do volunteer work there. The last few years she made her home with her daughter Nancy and her husband Fred and son John Marble. She is also survived by three sons, Dick and his wife, Chris; Dan, David and his wife Linda; granddaughters Michelle Beckman and Katie and her husband Daniel Grosskopf, grandson Eric Beckman, a borther Dale and his wife Doris of Hannibal, sister-in-law Betty Horner of Canton and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wally Hostetter, three brothers, Marion Horner, Carroll Horner and Lloyd Horner.

On June 7, 2015 a memorial service was held to celebrate her life at the home of her niece Nancy Horner Barry, Canton, Mo. Thelma was born in this home and grew up there and a related article appears in this edition.
