VAUGHN MYERS

Vaughn Stanley Myers, 56, of Keokuk, died May 29, 2016, at Lexington Square in Keokuk, Iowa. 

Vaughn was born May 15, 1960 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Earl Ray Myers and Norma Jean Jobe Myers. A resident of Keokuk since 1967, Vaughn owned and operated Myer's Drywall for a time, later working at Stone Container and finally working in maintenance at the Holiday Inn for over sixteen years. Vaughn was a member of the Southside Boat Club, and he loved NHRA Races and riding his Harley-Davidson, which was a 100 Year Anniversary Special Edition.

Vaughn is survived by his mother Norma Jean Clay of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; three brothers: Craig Myers of Kansas City, Kansas; Dana (Sheila) Myers of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Aaron (Amy) Clay of Dassel, Minnesota; two sisters: Carla (Tad) Tadlock of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Lisa (Kevin) Peterson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and two uncles: Norman Myers and Cecil Myers of Lewistown, Missouri, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Vaughn is preceded in death by his father Earl Myers and his stepfather, Everett Clay.
A service celebrating his life was held Friday, June 3, 2016 at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Centers at 917 Blondeau in Keokuk with Pastor David Barrett officiating.

Burial followed in the Lewistown Cemetery, Lewistown, Missouri.
