JANET LONG

Janet Louise Long, 68, of Canton, Missouri died May 31, 2015 at Country View Nursing Facility in Bowling Green, Missouri.

The daughter of George Earnest and Iva Ardella (Wampler) Cook, she was born November 4, 1946 in Eivens, Missouri. Janet was united in marriage on October 28, 1967 to Fred Dale Long, who survives.

Also surviving is one son, Fredrick Dale Long, Jr. of Belton, Missouri; three daughters, Chandra Grawe of Lentner, Missouri, Renata Licht of Canton, Missouri, and Velinda Gwinner of Macon, Missouri; two brothers, Darrel Wampler and Gary Cook; two sisters, Deloris Jones and Myra Thomas; thirteen grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Earnest Cook; and two sisters, Sandra Gravett and Georgia Parker.

A graveside service will be held Thursday June 4, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri.

Service is under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, Missouri.
