JOHNNY LEE RUDICIL  

Johnny Lee Rudicil, 77, of Quincy, Ill., died April 27, 2024 at his home in Quincy.

He was born September 6, 1946 in Gorin, Mo., a son of George W. and Dorothy H Randolph Rudicil.  He married Linda Lou Hodges in Canton, Mo., on June 15, 1968.  She survives.

He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Quincy and was a volunteer at the Church for a number of years.  Johnny had been employed with the Missouri State Highway Department for 20 years.  After his service with the Highway Department, he delivered vehicles converted for mail carriers all over the United States.  He had his own business, “Twin Tree Auditing” which was physical property auditing and travelled 50,000 miles per year and was home every night, but health concerns required him to retire from the job. 

Johnny was a member of Craft Lodge #287 A.F. & A.M. in Canton where he was a past master and had served on the Rainbow Girls Board.  He was also a member of the Central Illinois Mustang Club. 

  Along with his wife, he was one of the first EMT’s in Lewis County, Mo., volunteering starting with the first day of the new ambulance service.

 He is survived by his wife, Linda Rudicil of Quincy; one son, Jon (Daniela Fili) Rudicil of Palermo, Italy; daughter, Pamela (Steve) Hobbs of Lake Stevens, Wash.; three grandsons, Gavin, Truman and Winston Hobbs all of Lake Stevens, Wash.; sister, Sandra (Dale) Wiseman of Advance, Mo., and several nieces and nephews; best friends, Victor Markell of Kimberly, ID and Barry Dimmitt of Quincy, Ill.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and two beloved Labrador retrievers.

 Funeral services will be held Monday, May 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ in Quincy, Ill., with Rev. Tim White officiating.  Visitation will be held Sunday, May 5, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Quincy, Ill. Pallbearers will be: Dwaine Nall, Gavin Hobbs, Truman Hobbs, Winston Hobbs, Jeff Burns, Richard Horner and Tony Morrall. Music: Lila Warning vocalist and Rhonda Basinger, organist. Songs: Sweet Bye and Bye and In the Garden.

Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery in Canton, Mo.  

 The family suggests memorials be made to Trinity united Church of Christ or the Blessing Foundation for Hospice and may be sent in care of to Davis Funeral Home, P.O. Box 108, Canton, Mo. 63435.
